Short Bio
Hi, I am Charles and I am excited to start 2018 and my new career at Fourcast as a “Google Cloud Data Scientist”. I am 29 (turning to a new decade on April 11) and have a business engineering background. I have worked for various companies in different countries (Mexico, Congo and Belgium) and have had positions such Supplier Quality Engineer, Sourcing Manager and Business Intelligence Analyst. I devoted my year 2017 to IT and Data Science bootcamps in order to switch career.
During my free time, I am a sport lover (play regularly tennis), Netflix addicted and love having a good belgian beer with my friends or colleagues. I am also passionate about traveling.
Why fourcast?
I wanted to work in a small and very dynamic structure using cutting-edge technologies. A startup culture such as fourcast had all the arguments for this. Working with Google technologies on a daily basis with highly motivated people is what I was looking for.
Best about Google?
The fact it is very user-friendly and that it enables users with very few IT knowledge to get started quickly. It integrates everything (calendars, emails, contacts, …) and makes your work much easier to manage. On a data science point of view, I think their machine learning APIs trained with millions of samples are really impressive. You can get a powerful image detection, speech detection, etc. set up within a very short amount of time.
