Short Bio
Hi I am Andrea Bombino, the first Italian guy joining Fourcast as Google Cloud Data Engineer.
After ten months in Sweden, where I have been developing my master thesis project and publishing a scientific paper, I understood that I was not ready to go back to Italy yet.
Indeed, after that experience I moved to Belgium and started working for one year at Design Is Dead as Consultant Data Engineer, where I got the opportunity to work in Brussels Airport Company. There, my passion for data increased daily, until now where I get this opportunity to work at Fourcast using the best technologies and innovations.
As you can see I am a traveler, I’m not afraid to move and jump into new things. I love to challenge myself and learn day by day. In addition, I am a sporty guy. I like to play any kind of sports, mainly football and basketball. So, let’s play.
Why Fourcast?
Since I got in touch with Fourcast’s people (now my colleagues) I loved their mindset and their motivations and ambitions. You can see the company more like a flat organisation where everybody can learn from everybody. Everyone is here to make you grow, using the latest Google technologies with an incredible culture. Bringing all of this inside customer companies as well.

Best about Google?
Before joining Fourcast, I used to work with AWS due my past experiences, but now I can compare it to Google Cloud. Even though I am not an expert yet, I can say that the GCP platform and all the services around it are more user-friendly and intuitive to “play” around with.
In addition, we can see how Google’s technologies are changing our life day by day, and how this organisation, these people are working together for a better future.
