The migration will adopt a phased approach, beginning with a pilot program that gradually shifts services to the cloud, initially comprising 30% cloud-based and 70% on-premise solutions. This careful transition will allow Akseleran to reconfigure its core services to be cloud-optimised on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring that the infrastructure is tailored to meet the specific needs of the business. Additionally, the adoption of a microservices architecture is integral to this strategy, as it facilitates scalability and flexibility, enabling Akseleran to implement easier updates and maintenance of their applications.
Security is a top priority in the BFSI sector, and the proposed solutions include robust security implementations such as the deployment of a Web Application Firewall (WAF) through Google Cloud Armor. This will protect applications from various threats and ensure secure transactions. Furthermore, the use of Google Cloud Load Balancer and Cloud CDN will enhance both performance and reliability, ensuring that Akseleran’s services remain accessible and efficient. To support the infrastructure setup, a well-architected Google Cloud Platform landing zone will be established, incorporating essential services like Google Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, and Cloud SQL. Additionally, traffic scrubbing solutions will be deployed to mitigate DDoS attacks, thereby safeguarding data integrity and availability.
Training and knowledge transfer are essential for the long-term success of the cloud migration. Devoteam G Cloud will provide training for Akseleran’s internal teams, equipping them with the skills to effectively manage and operate the new cloud infrastructure.
